Before You Start Improvements
The CMPOA Restrictions and Covenants require that property improvements in Cape Malibu be approved by the Architectural Control Committee or ACC. Starting any exterior maintenance, repairs, enhancements, modifications or removal of trees without prior approval is subject to a significant fine.
Before starting any project, please read the Before You Build document and our Restrictions and Covenants, then submit an application for approval.
You need ACC Approval before you:

- Add a sidewalk, driveway, patio
- Build a deck
- Build or add to a tool shed
- Build a new garage
- Make additions to an existing structure
- Paint the exterior of your home
- Build a fence
- Change the way water flows off or across your property
- Add a swing set or play house
- Make any changes to the outside of your house
Steps to receive an ACC approval
- Send this Property Improvement Request Form, along with supporting photos, brochures, drawings and other documentation to acccmpoa@gmail.com or by post to 15816 Malibu East Willis TX 77378.
- Upon receipt of the request and supporting information, the ACC will review it to ensure compliance with restrictions and prevailing community standards before providing a written response. The ACC may work with you to update your request as necessary to include all required supporting documents.
- The ACC will respond with suggested changes, questions or approval. Our Restrictions & Covenants give the ACC 30 days to provide a response once all supporting documents are received.
When planning your improvements please include time for obtaining an approval.
